About Me

Hello! I'm Abdul Haq Shaik, a final year Electronics and Communications Engineering student at SASTRA University, specializing in Cyber Physical Systems. With a passion for problem-solving and a keen interest in cybersecurity and web development, I thrive in competitive and collaborative environments.

As a core team member of Team 1nf1n1ty, I've actively participated in various Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions, helping us achieve remarkable rankings such as 5th place among all CTF teams in India in 2024. My primary interests lie in web and hardware security, where I continually seek to expand my knowledge and skills.

Projects

IRON CTF 2024

As a member of Team 1nf1n1ty, I was part of the organizing team for IRON CTF 2024. During this event, I managed the CTF hosting and contributed to creating challenges. The CTF saw participation from over 1,000 teams and 2,400 users, with zero downtime throughout the event. Many reviews praised our challenge quality and infrastructure, which extensively utilized Docker, CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes for seamless and efficient deployments.

Cloud OS

This project is developed using FastAPI for the REST API and Nuxt.js for the frontend, enabling users to independently manage containers or browsers, which can be deleted either on request or automatically after a set period on a VPS. It provides a privacy-focused solution for online browsing or malware research, as the browsers are deleted once their use is complete.

Certificate Generator Bot

This bot automates the generation and distribution of personalized certificates for CTF participants, seamlessly integrating with CTFd and Discord. It supports customizable templates, dynamic text placement, and a feature to award Certificates of Excellence to top performers based on a defined threshold. Built with Docker for easy deployment.

Team 1nf1nty

The website promotes our CTF team by showcasing events, achievements to attract new members. Designed with a focus on user experience, it features a responsive design compatible with all devices. Developed using Nuxt.js, it leverages server-side rendering and static site generation to ensure fast loading times and improved SEO.

No Distractions

No Distractions is a browser extension that enhances your YouTube experience by removing recommended videos and shorts, helping users stay focused on their desired content. Available on Microsoft Edge with over 240 active users, it has been praised for improving focus and time management.

Achievements

Special Prize Winner

Received a special prize at the cyberchase CTF (SCADA/ICS) during Nullcon 2023, held at Bits Pilani Goa. The competition focused on finding and exploiting vulnerabilities in SCADA and ICS systems and won a Flipper Zero device, which serves as a versatile tool for exploring and understanding electronic signals and systems.

Pentathon 2024 Finalist

As part of Team 1nf1n1ty, we qualified for the finals of the Pentathon 2024, a highly competitive event focusing on critical infrastructure security. In the qualifiers, we ranked among India's top 7 teams. During the finals, we advanced to the final round and finished among the top 10, although the exact rankings have not been released.

Second Prize winner

Secured the second prize in the Digital Defenders CTF 2023 organized by CySecK in collaboration with the Centre for Networked Intelligence (CNI) at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. The competition involved exploiting web applications, breaking cryptographic codes, and conducting forensic investigations following cyber threats.
